Pete: 'Something big' caused Katie split

Peter Andre has spoken out (again) about his split from Katie Price and revealed something big happened to cause the break up. He's just not saying what... yet.

In an interview with Piers Morgan, the Aussie reality star insisted the split had nothing to do with Katie's flirting or the TV cameras shadowing their every move.

"Katie said the reason I left her was because I'd seen pictures of her in nightclubs flirting with other men and presumed she'd cheated on me," he explained.

"That is not the truth. Those pictures were not the reason I left Katie. I would never end a marriage over something small, or little things building up."

Pete went on: "Something big happened, which I won't reveal as I don't want my kids reading it. But when I tell them, I'll come on your show and reveal what actually happened."
He insisted that his ex-wife knows "100 per cent" why he dumped her and claims he is "100 per cent sure that what happened definitely did happen".

The Insania singer went on to further fuel Katie's rage by saying: "Sometimes I think she wants us to get back together. In my mind there is no unfinished business when it comes to my marriage but Katie feels there is.

"When I left her I thought that was definitely the end of my career. But I was prepared to do it to not be in that marriage any more."

Andre admitted the immediate aftermath of the break-up had been hard, but added: "I was surprised how quickly I got over her, it was a matter of months. But the break-up and situation is still raw.

However, the whole experience has left him struggling to hold down a relationship. His fling with Elen Rivas didn't last long and he insists rumours of romance with backing dancer Kristina Macmillan are just that.

He added: "I can't commit to anyone because of what happened with Katie. I hope I'll get over that but for now I can't be in a relationship."

So it looks like we'll just have to wait for the big skeleton in Katie Price's marriage closet. See you in a few years Pete.

What do you think - will Pete ever reveal the big secret or should he let it lie? Leave a comment below...

X Factor Kitty Brucknell was '£500-a-night stripper'

It's fair to say Kitty Brucknell has caused some controversy since this year's X Factor kicked off.

Soon after her eccentric first audition, rumours of a job as a honeytrap girl, illegal diet drugs and bizarre lookalike love triangles began to surface.

Now she has apparently been exposed as a former stripper. And not a very good one either.

According to the Sunday Mirror, Kitty was forced to work in strip clubs in 2007 as she struggled to make money with her Lady Gaga impersonations.

A former stripper from the Spearmint Rhino in Slough, where Kitty worked for a time, revealed: "She always picked Christina [Aguilera] songs and used to do the most jerky, out-of-time dances.

"She didn't seem to have any pole-dancing training as she was always too fast for the music. It used to make the whole club roar with laughter."
Though she wasn't popular with the other girls, the club's patrons reportedly liked it and it's rumoured Kitty could have earned £500 on a good night.

According to the Mirror, Kitty quit the pole-dancing game soon after making obscene comments about another dancer's intimate area, thereby causing a near fist fight.

She hasn't quit the bizarre behaviour though, as her fellow X Factor contestants will testify.

Still, she looks to be safe from the chop this weekend. Her performance of Queen's Who Wants to Live Forever on last night's show left Tulisa "absolutely captivated".

And since Jonjo Kerr "stuck out like a sore thumb" (Gary's words) with his flat version of You Really Got Me, it's likely Louis Walsh will have to cope with Kitty the diva for another week.

What do you think - were you impressed by Kitty's performance last night or will her offstage antics get in the way of her success? Comments below please...

Alex proposes to Chantelle... on TV

Alex Reid and Chantelle Houghton are apparent engaged after a spotlight-grabbing romantic onscreen proposal.

The media-loving pair were discussing their IVF baby plans on Ireland's The Saturday Night Show when Alex popped the question... but only after host Brendan O'Connor had urged him to do so.

The Reidinator twice refused, claiming it wouldn't be "romantic", but it seems he changed his mind at the third time of asking.

"We're in Dublin, I haven't got a ring, but you know what, I'm going to do it," he told his bride to be.

"Seriously, nobody tell anyone! Will you marry me?"

A giggly Chantelle accepted, of course. Cue passionate kissing and audience applause.
There's just one problem - technically Alex is still married to Katie Price.

Never mind, we're sure the divorce will have been finalised by the time Chantelle has planned the big magazine spread wedding.

What do you think - are Alex and Chantelle the perfect match? Leave a comment below...

Gary Barlow on depression: 'I was embarrassed to be me'

PA

Gary Barlow might be the darling of talent show TV now but not so long ago, he was suffering with a serious bout of depression.

The X Factor judge revealed that the break up of Take That and his failed solo career meant he feared being recognised by members of the public.

Speaking to the Observer Magazine, Gary said: "I was living in Cheshire at the time, going to London and back on the train. I used to heavily disguise myself, with a hat and everything.

"I was overweight, I wasn't feeling great. I was embarrassed to be me, to have people recognise me."

The depression caused Barlow to over-eat and he quickly ballooned to nearly 17st. He also found it hard to adjust to post-Take That life.
"It wasn't not being famous any more, or even not being a recording artist," he explained. "It was having nobody who needed me, no phones ringing, nothing to do."

The singer-songwriter was also tormented by his "lucky" white piano.

"Every hit I'd had I'd written on this piano," he revealed. "Within six months of this not happening any more, this piano drove me mad.

"To the point where I spent days just looking at it, lying underneath it, lying on top of it, rubbing my face on it, going slowly insane, trying to work out why this thing wasn't delivering to me like it used to."

So where did it all go right again? The 2006 Take That reunion.

Gary explained: "That day was the first time in years that I got on the train, took my hat off and just sat there. People were coming up and being so nice. It felt so good."

Now, having shed the weight with the help of a nutritionist and plenty of willpower, Barlow is back on top... and hopefully back for good.

Helen Flanagan is reportedly considering her future on ITV soap Coronation Street after suffering crippling panic attacks.

The 21-year-old, who plays Rosie Webster, has been struggling with stress since returning to Corrie following a three-month break and has enlisted the help of co-star Kym Marsh in dealing with the attacks.
But according to The Mirror, Flanagan has told Corrie bosses she wants out when her contract ends in March.

An insider told the paper: "It's no secret Helen has been struggling recently. She's been working hard and the stress has got to her.

"Experiencing those panic attacks has really shaken her up badly. She has said she doesn't want to renew her contract."

Helen is also keen to spend more time with footballer boyfriend Scott Sinclair, it has been claimed, and with the panic attacks affecting her health, Flanagan's role looks to be in doubt after 12 years on the hit soap.

The source added: "Corrie may have to face up to The Street without Rosie Webster."
