Former Weezer bassist Mikey Welsh has been found dead in a hotel room, having apparently predicted the time and place of his death.

A drug overdose is suspected to have caused the death of the 40-year-old, who died in a Chicago hotel room while in town to see his old band perform.
His body was discovered when staff visited his room at the Raffaello hotel after he had failed to check out yesterday morning.

The dad-of-two tweeted on September 26: "dreamt i died in chicago next weekend (heart attack in my sleep). need to write my will today."

And he then added: "correction - the weekend after next."

He had given up music for painting after a mental breakdown and attempted suicide, later attributing his problems to drug use and several personality disorders.

He also made references to his impending death on his Facebook page, where he said an artwork was priced at $250 "if i am still alive at time of purchase, price to increase exponentially if i expire prematurely".

His family broke the news of his death by issuing a statement saying: "'We are deeply saddened to announce that Mikey Welsh passed away unexpectedly today. He will forever be remembered as an amazing father, artist, and friend. May he rest in peace."

And Weezer's official Twitter feed carried the following message: "We are shocked and deeply saddened to hear the awful news, our friend and fellow weez rocker @mikeywelsh71 has passed away. We love u Mikey."

Sir Paul McCartney and his new bride Nancy Shevell celebrated their marriage with some of the biggest names in music, art and fashion yesterday evening.

As well as his fellow surviving Beatle Ringo Starr (pictured above with wife Barbara Bach), Macca and Nancy were also joined by famous names such as Ronnie Wood, Sir David Frost, Twiggy, Tracey Emin, Jools Holland and Pink Floyd's Dave Gilmour.
Macca, aged 69, held the reception at his mansion in St John's Wood, London, and even treated guests to a few songs - including a new ballad that he had written especially for Nancy.

The former Beatle married American heiress Nancy, 51, at Marylebone Town Hall yesterday.

Other guests at the reception included Macca's daughter Stella and brother Mike, who acted as best man, Nancy's second cousin Barbara Walters, Sharleen Spiteri from Texas (the band not the state) and Jeff Beck.

The guests are reported to have enjoyed salmon and truffle risotto for their dinner, washed down with £100-a-bottle organic champagne.

What do you reckon? Is it true love? Comment below...

They both like attention. They're both controversial. The only difference? One is a worldwide megastar and the other is a mediocre contestant on a reality TV show.

Quite how The X Factor's Kitty Brucknell sees herself as the British equivalent to Lady Gaga, we're really not sure.
Kitty turned up to the X Factor studios yesterday wearing a teal coloured wig - very similar to ones that Lady G has been placing upon her bonce recently.

And on Saturday's live show she wore make-up suspiciously like that Gaga sported on her Monster Ball tour.

    Rex / Big

But if the booing she received on this weekend's X Factor is anything to go by, Kitty has a lot of work to do before she can enjoy even a fraction of Gaga's popularity.

Kitty's love of Lady Gaga is not exactly a secret though, as she famously belted out the The Edge of Glory in her first audition.

And only last week Kitty's past as a Lady Gaga tribute act was revealed by Heat magazine when a collection of embarrassing photos of her dressed as the star were unearthed.

Meanwhile axed contestant Jonjo Kerr has been voicing his opinions on Kitty to Digital Spy, bemoaning her dramatic ways.

"Everyone in the house is f**king sick of her, crying and moaning about everything. What can you say? That's why she can't win it. She's too much," he said.

"She should have been the first person to go. I'm not just saying that because I was the first person to go.

"But as a viewer, I would definitely have been annoyed that Kitty's still there and you'll never see Amelia again. Amelia has so much to offer and with Kitty, it's the same dramatic c**p, every week."

Oo-er. We wish he'd stayed in now, just for a bit of dramz.

What do you make of Kitty? Is she a marmite act? Leave us your thoughts below.

When we saw the rest of Girls Aloud getting tanked last week, we wondered where on earth the group's biggest caner Sarah Harding could be?

But we have our explanation as it seems she was busy trying to rekindle her relationship with ex fiancé Tom Crane after they jetted off to a mystery location to discuss their future together.
Sarah left the country last week and has now been joined by Tom on her get-away in an attempt to patch things up.

The couple were due to tie the knot next year, but ended their nine month engagement after a series of blazing rows.

A source told The Mirror: "Sarah's missed three nights out with the girls, which is really unlike her, but Tom is all she can think about at the moment.

"She's been feeling really confused for the past month. To make matters worse, Tom's schedule has meant they haven't been able to focus any attention on what's been going on between them.

"They want to spend some quality time together and hopefully get back on track."

It wouldn't be the first reunion for the couple as they previously split for a brief period in 2008 before getting back together.

Here's hoping they can work it out. After all they do have a whole lotta history together. Ho ho ho.

Would you like to see Sarah and Tom reunite or are they better off moving on from each other? Leave a comment.

Never mind that 2 Shoes got the boot from this weekend's X Factor, there is something far more important that needs addressing, sharpish.

And I'm not talking about the fact that Kitty is still on the show.

Can we talk about Tulisa? Or Tulia's right arm, to be precise?
I know the producers are hell bent on turning her into a clone of Cheryl Cole (the hair, the styling, the tears etc etc) but do we really need Tulisa's own version of Cheryl's annoying little head salute?

Let's call it The Arm. And no, I won't be putting it through.

And if Saturday's debut of The Arm wasn't bad enough (the tat reads 'The female boss' in case you were wondering), she took it upon herself to update it for Sunday night's show by adding a shoulder shrug and a wink into the mix.

At this rate she'll be doing a full scale military tattoo by the time we hit the finals. Oh hang on a minute, hasn't Cheryl already done that?

    Cheryl ColeRex

    Yep, she has.

Never mind, let's distract ourselves with our favourite moment from Saturday's show. 2 Shoes might have left but after Lucy Texeira's make-up malfunction, I think we can safely say that they'll never be forgotten.

    Rex

    Totes embar, indeed.

They shared a stage with the Jackson brothers at Saturday's Michael Jackson tribute concert, but JLS have revealed that may just be a taste of things to come.

Oritsé Williams from the band has revealed Tito, Jermaine and Marlon are keen to work with the former X Factor stars again in the future.
The lads performed Blame it on the Boogie with the music legends at the concert in Cardiff where they got chatting about the possibility of working together again.

"We discussed some things backstage about the future and they want to take us out for dinner to talk further. Who knows? It would be amazing," Oritsé said.

However, Oritsé said JLS will be kept on their toes if they ever do collaborate with the Jacksons as they demand precision:

"Marlon taught us a few moves and Jackie wanted to hear more of our harmonies. He even had a word with Marvin and changed his harmony."

Other stars that took to the stage to pay tribute to Michael over the weekend included Christina Aguilera, Alexandra Burke and Leona Lewis.

A busy day of interviews with newspapers and radio stations followed by an early evening appearance on Strictly It Takes Two meant an early morning dash in the dark by car from Wales to London.
Talk about footloose! After a long day I kicked off my shoes and did the interview with Zoe Ball in my cushion clutching, stocking feet - clutching a cushion because - as I revealed to the viewers - the shirt was a tad tight and sometimes we all need a cushion!

No respite on Friday with another early morning start for BBC's Breakfast Show. You'll remember this was where I started back in the 80's so in a strange way it was like coming home to be back on that couch! It was great to hear Alex and James sharing their thoughts about the show so far.

Then more interviews on Friday morning and a vital last practice salsa session with Flavia in the hope of delivering the perfect performance on Saturday.

Flavia and I have had so many good luck messages from well-wishers, it really gives us both such a big boost. It really means a lot to us to know you're out there urging us on.

And so.... ON WITH THE SHOW.... And what a scintillating start from Chelsee and passion-packed Pasha - one of three couples to scoop a magnificent 29 points.

Dan and Katya gave us some head over heels fun and my old buddy Lulu with partner Brendan bounced back with a fabulously graceful performance.

Holly and Artem's great cha-cha-cha performance last week was followed up this week with high kicking brilliance that even had Craig saying "Great!" - where will it all end?

Weren't Robbie and Ola just so stylish and smooth? They deserved their standing ovation, I was thrilled and once again our Craig loved it!

Jason and Kristina stole the show and our hearts. What a class act they are. They told a great story and their moves are just awe inspiring to watch.

I can't go without mentioning the wonderful Nancy and Anton. They were thrilling, exciting and epitomise what Strictly is about. Glitzy and glamorous, they showed us all a trick or two on the dance floor despite Nancy's bad leg.

After my results on Zoe's campometer and Bruce's Glastonbury "camp as a row of tents" gag I was over the moon to be the 'Dancing Queen' of the night - even the judges thought I put "the 'boy' in flamboyant! Of course I loved every milli-second and Flavia, my soulmate and inspiration once again showed me the moves that make her a champion.

Of course, this is Strictly and so the voting process has started. It's a bit hackneyed to say 'Someone has to go' but that is the name of the game and so Edwina and Vincent have left us, a wonderful, gracious lady with a fabulous dance partner. Well Done Edwina!

And now I am off to practice my Foxtrot!
