Mitch writing Amy memoir for charity

Mitch Winehouse has revealed that he is to write a memoir about the tragically short life of his daughter Amy, with all the proceeds going to a foundation set up in her memory.

The book, which will be called Amy, My Daughter, will be published by HarperCollins next summer - and Mitch says that writing it will help him deal with Amy's death this July at the age of 27.
He said: "I feel that I need to write this book to tell the true story of Amy and to help with my personal recovery.

"I also want to raise as much money as possible for Amy's foundation, so all proceeds from the book will go directly to help children who are disadvantaged through illness and substance addiction.

"I believe that through Amy's music, her foundation, and this book, her name will live forever."

And Nick Canham, the editorial director of Harper Non-Fiction paid tribute to Mitch.

He said: "The strength Mitch Winehouse has shown over recent months is truly admirable.

"His desire to create a definitive account of Amy's life, that will solely benefit the foundation he has established in her name, is something that we are incredibly proud to be part of."

Katie Price's new show bombs in the ratings

When will Katie Price get the hint that no-one wants to watch her TV shows anymore?

Perhaps the debut performance of Signed by Katie Price will be a big enough sign.

Her new offering on Sky Living drew in an appalling 130,000 viewers for its first episode last night.

Signed by Katie Price is an X Factor style show which sees her hunt for the next big glamour model.

She probably had as many people watching it as auditioned.
The show was even 37% down on the amount of people that usually watch Sky Living at that time.

Katie signed to the channel after leaving ITV2 last year. Her first fly-on-the-wall series for Sky Living pulled in an average of 485,000 viewers - a far cry from the million-and-a-half that watched on ITV2.

Oh well Katie. At least Danny Cipirani will be there to help you get over this latest flop.

Were you watching Katie's new show last night? Would you be glad to see the back of her on our screens? Leave a comment below.

Check out our gallery of celebs who, like Katie, get a bit too enthusiastic with their make up.

Gruesome twosome alert: Frankie and Holly swapping dirty texts

ITV/Rex

We'd only just learned that The X Factor's junior lothario Frankie Cocozza was supposedly dating poor rejected Amelia Lily (she denied it), but now it seems there may be another north eastern lass in the picture too.

Yes, the 18-year-old Brighton lad is reported to have been sending "filthy" texts to Geordie Shore hellriaser Holly Hagan.
And busty Holly, who was booted off the reality show for being too outrageous before being allowed back on, seems well up for it.

She told heat magazine: "On a scale of the steam factor, the kettle's boiled over. The pan has boiled over. You'd need a fire extinguisher."

And the journos at heat have authenticated the texts, saying they are sizzling.

Talking about Frankie's reputation as a womaniser, Holly said: "He's 18 and has seven names tattooed on his bum.

"I wouldn't be surprised if he cheated, but I cheated on the telly. We'd make the perfect couple! He likes big boobs, I have big boobs!"

There you go, is that wedding bells we can hear?

What do you reckon? A match made in heaven or hell? Comment below...

Tara Palmer-Tomkinson: 'I'm not using drugs again'

Tara Palmer-Tomkinson's wild past has been well documented over the years.

And her cocaine ravaged nose will serve as permanent reminder of her drug fuelled antics.

But when she was pictured last week after a night out looking like Pete Doherty in drag, we have to say we were a little bit worried that the socialite was back to her old ways.

But TPT has reassured everyone that her crazed and bloodied appearance last week at infamous London nightclub The Box was simply down to a few tipples of wine.
"When I saw those pictures, I knew what everyone would be thinking and it broke my heart. Yes, it looked like I was on drugs, but I've been clean for years," she told Closer magazine.

The Celebrity Fame Academy winner, who had her nose rebulit for the second time earlier this year, entered rehab in the 90s after her £400 a day cocaine habit became too much.

"After I went to rehab, I signed a statement agreeing to do a random blood test every year and I never failed one once. That doesn't stop me enjoying the odd glass of wine though!"

"It really hurts when people pick on you over your appearance - I'm very sensitive. I've always been 'crazy TPT', but I really want to prove to people that I'm not just some party girl.

"I've ditched all the old hangers-on who were a bad influence on me and now I surround myself with people who don't see drugs as a priority. If anyone takes drugs in front of me, I'm never tempted to join in."

We have to say we're pleased Tara has sorted herself out, but Morticia Addams called, and Tara, she wants her look back.

Should Tara kerb her partying ways? Leave a comment below.

Spot the difference: Beyonce accused of plagiarism in new video (VIDEO)

Beyoncé has been accused of plagiarism in her latest video for single Countdown.

The pregnant star has angered a Belgian choreographer after she allegedly stole a number of dance moves for her promo.

Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker has hit out at our fave bootylicious lady labelling her actions 'rude'.
The video in question sees Beyoncé and three back up dancers frolicking around in a disused corridor through a window pane.

Keersmaeker told a Danish blog, "I didn't know anything about this. I'm not mad, but this is plagiarism.

"This is stealing. It's a bit rude, I must say," she said.

"What's rude about it is that they don't even bother about hiding it. They seem to think they could do it because it's a famous work... Am I honoured? Look, I've seen local school kids doing this. That's a lot more beautiful."

However, the video's co-director, Adria Petty had previously said how she borrowed inspiration for various European dances.

"I brought Beyoncé a number or references and we picked some out together. Most were German modern dance references, believe it or not," she said.

Beyoncé has so far made no comment about the allegations.

She was previously accused of copying in her Run The World (Girls) video earlier this year.

Naughty Bey. It does all look pretty similar to us. If this was an exam, she'd have been chucked out by a scary invigilator by now.

One thing we were pleased to see in the video though was a cameo from little baby Beyjay, albeit in a bump form. Beyoncé announced earlier today the baby is due in February.

What do you think? Has Beyoncé copied Anne? Judge for yourself by watching this video which compares the two and leave your thoughts below.

One Direction in US record label battle

Not content with having an army of adoring fans over this side of the Atlantic, One Direction are set to cause more hearts to beat faster with the news they are off to America.

They are used to being fought over but normally though it's by teenage girls, not industry record bosses.
American record labels are at odds trying to get the lads to sign on the dotted line.

Among them are Simon Cowell's pal and fellow X Factor USA judge LA Reid from label Epic. He is the man behind the success of Rihanna, Pink and Justin Bieber.

Also vying to sign Liam, Louis, Harry, Niall and Zayn are RCA records' Peter Edge and Columbia chairman Rob Stringer - both are major players in the music biz in the States.

A decision is set to be reached this week after their management meets with all the labels to discuss their deal.

Whoever they chose, it looks as if the band are headed in only one direction and that's Stateside. America, lock up your daughters.

Do you think One Direction have got what it takes to crack America? Leave a comment below.

Newly-engaged Jack Osbourne to become a father

What are the chances? You wait for years for a piece of good news from Jack Osbourne and then two come along at once!

The reality star turned documentary film-maker only announced his engagement a couple of weeks ago.

And yesterday he revealed that he and his new fiancée are expecting a baby.
The 25-year-old son of Ozzy and Sharon made the surprise announcement during an interview with Piers Morgan in the US.

"I'm excited. I'm a little nervous, but I'm excited," he told the talk show host. "It's gonna be fun. I'm not going to do a reality show, though!"

Shame... imagine the tears and tantrums there will be as he and Lisa Stelly (who have been dating for less than a year) plan a wedding and prepare for a new baby.

So what did Jack's parents make of the news?

Luckily, they were on Piers' show too. Ozzy declared: "I'm in shock. I think it's fabulous," while Sharon revealed she had "always wanted to be a grandma".

Congratulations (and good luck) to Jack and Lisa!

What do you think - will it be too much too soon for Jack and his fiancée? Leave your comments below...
