Alex Reid to star in male strippers play

PA

This is probably the most unexpected celebrity news of the day, but it seems Alex Reid may finally have found the perfect vehicle for his acting ambitions.

The cage fighter and Celebrity Big Brother winner may still be best known as the soon-to-be former Mr Katie Price, but he is hoping that a role in a new touring play called Wildboyz will kick start his acting career in earnest.
He will be joined in the cast by former Big Brother housemate Dale Howard, Corrie star Danny Young and Hollyoaks actor Marcus Patrick.

The play's plot centres on a group of guys on holiday in Spain who get stranded by a volcanic ash cloud and are persuaded to stand in for a troupe of male strippers who are unable to get there.

With hilarious consequences we're sure.

Alex said: "Well I will be living in the gym from now until we hit the road, I can't wait to get on tour and perform.

"What really impressed me with this show is how funny it is and a great opportunity to show off - my acting skills of course. It should be a great laugh."

Alex has previously said he wants to have a similar career to Robert de Niro, and Ross Kemp.

What do you reckon? Will you be buying tickets? Comment below...

TOWIE's Maria 'worked as high class escort'

Just weeks ago it was reported (and denied) that TOWIE star Maria Fowler had worked as a lap dancer before hitting TV screens.

Now the reality star's employment history has cropped again as newspaper reports suggest she once worked as a high class escort.
According to The Sun, from 2009 until just last year, Maria worked for Carltons of London, where she could earn £600-an-hour wining and dining rich men.

Masquerading as 'Kelly', her agency profile (which could only be accessed with a secret password) reportedly claims: "Wherever she goes, heads turn. She can adapt to any high-class environment.

"The perfect package, Kelly is the perfect companion and provides very discreet, sensual and professional escort service."

The Carltons website also suggests that, paired with fellow escort Tamara, her clients could expect to be "taken to heights of pleasure that words simply cannot explain".

However, Maria insists she never bedded her clients and her spokesman Max Clifford told The Sun that the whole thing was a big mix-up.

"She signed up to a company which she believed were asking her to carry out promotional work," he explained.

"When the true nature of the work became clear to her she left immediately."

Maria is currently dating fellow TOWIE star Mick Norcross.

X Factor favourite Janet Devlin has vowed to perform on this weekend's show, despite the sudden death of her grandfather.

The 16-year-old was left brokenhearted after mum Patricia broke the news that 83-year-old Michael had passed away on Wednesday.

But after talking it through with her family, Janet has taken the brave decision to appear on Saturday night's show instead of flying home for her grandfather's funeral.

Patricia told the Irish Daily Mirror: "It all happened so fast so we really weren't expecting it and of course Janet was very shocked.

"But I have been assured she is being looked after and it's best she stays in London.
Patricia added: "X Factor said she could fly straight home but Michael wouldn't have wanted that, he was her biggest fan and he was backing her every step of the way."

Since her first audition, Janet has been one of the favourites to win the show and the judges were wowed by her performance on last weekend's first live show.

Our thoughts are with the family and we wish Janet the best of luck for Saturday.

Hacker: 'I was addicted to spying on celebs'

PA

The man charged with hacking into the private data of celebrities including Scarlett Johansson and Mila Kunis has admitted that he became hooked on spying on the stars.

Christopher Chaney, 35, has been making no attempt to deny the charges against him - and has apologised and said he never intended to sell or release the information - which included nude photos.
Speaking to a local TV station in Florida, Chaney said: "It started as curiosity and it turned into just being addicted to seeing behind the scenes of what was going on with these people you see on the big screen every day.

"I was almost relieved months ago when they came in and took my computer...because I didn't know how to stop.

"I deeply apologise, I know what I did was probably one of the worst invasions of privacy someone could experience. I am not trying to escape what I did."

Chaney has been charged with 26 counts of
computer hacking, aggravated identity theft and wiretapping - having been arrested in an FBI sting entitled Operation Hackerazzi.

He added: "I wasn't attempting to break into e-mails and get stuff to sell or purposefully put on the Internet... I never wanted to sell or release any images."

The authorities
say they have no info on whether Chaney did profit from the crimes, but revealed they are continuing to investigate and that others may yet be implicated.

It has been reported that he could be sentenced to 121 years in prison if convicted on all counts.

What do you think? Would that sentence be a tad harsh? Comment below...

Rude girl Rihanna in trouble at strip joint

Let's not beat around the bush here, Rihanna has got herself a reputation as a bit of a strumpet.

After all, when she's not running round farmers' fields topless she's bumping and grinding in next to nothing - but if the latest report is to be believed then it definitely isn't all just an act.
Apparently the Rude Boy singer got in a spot of bother on a night out with her ex-BF Matt Kemp and former boxer David Haye at Stringfellows in London - because she was getting too hands-on with the girls in a private booth.

The Sun quoted a source as saying: "Rihanna couldn't resist paying for a dance and loved watching the girls in action.

"Bouncers weren't happy as she was repeatedly touching them, ignoring all warnings. At one point she thrust her head between the legs of one of the dancers."

Ri-Ri had apparently earlier been belting out Guns and Roses songs at a karaoke bar in the West End - which we'd have paid to see.

She's currently in the UK for a series of gigs - including several dates at London's O2 - and is also dating British boxer Dudley O'Shaughnessy after they met while she filmed her latest video.

What do you reckon on Rihanna's antics? Innocent young fun or shameful depravity? Comment below...

Kitty Brucknell to quit X Factor over bullying?

It's all going on in that X Factor house. If it's not Frankie sending sex texts, any drama is usually Kitty related.

And it's not any different this time as she's threatened to quit the show, claiming her fellow contestants are bullying her.

Tensions in the X Factor house have reached boiling point after she was shunned by the rest of her housemates, blasting her "attention seeking" ways.

She has moved into her own room in the house the contestants share in Elstree (oooh, it really is like actual Big Brother), and she described the situation as "intolerable".
A show source told The Mirror:"Kitty has clashed with other contestants and some of them really don't like her. They think she is attention-seeking. We don't want her to be in any more hostile situations, or risk her feeling bullied, so now she has her own room. She is the first contestant to get their own room this series.

"The last thing we want is Kitty walking out. She is one of the stars of the show."

Axed contestant Jonjo Kerr previously revealed Kitty's not exactly the easiest person to live with, saying "everyone in the house is f***ing sick of her".

Earlier this week, Kitty reportedly reduced Janet Devlin to tears after she claimed the 16 year-old was being favoured by producers.

A spokesperson for The X Factor confirmed Kitty has been moved to her own room and said: "Contestant welfare is of paramount importance and activity in the house is supervised at all times."

And we thought this show was meant to be about singing...

What do you make of Kitty? Is she getting too much of a hard time? Leave your thoughts below.

The house may not exactly be a harmonious place at the moment, but all the contestants looked like they were getting on here.
