Angelina visits war-torn Libya

Following more than half a year of violent conflict leading to a bloody revolution, the people of Libya are overjoyed to welcome Hollywood star and UN ambassador Angelina Jolie to their shattered nation.

Well, at least the doctor and the other man accompanying her on this hospital tour must be, because they appear to be ignoring their countryman's tragic injury to gaze soulfully at Ange instead.
But cheap gags aside, the 36-year-old has been touring the ruined city of Misurata, which was recently taken by rebels from forces loyal to deposed dictator Colonel Gadaffi.

And as well as taking the time to meet individual victims of the conflict, she has met representatives of the interim government.

She paid tribute to the Libyan people, saying: "What's extraordinary is that a lot of the people who are part of the solution and are working in positions of even the military, and you find that just before the revolution they had retired, or were running restaurants or were selling baby clothes.

"They've all quit their jobs and they are all working here now on behalf of their country."

Lady Gaga wins Lady Goo Goo lawsuit

AP

In one corner it's Gaga, in the other it's Goo Goo.

No we haven't reverted back to childhood, Lady Gaga has won a court case to stop a cartoon rip-off called Lady Goo Goo performing her songs.

The singer has taken out an injunction against children's social networking site Moshi Monsters to stop Lady Goo Goo appearing on YouTube.

The cartoon singer who sports spaghetti-like hair and large sunglasses (wonder where she got the inspiration for that look?) and has songs such as Peppy-razzi - that's a cover of Paparazzi in case you were wondering.
She first become a YouTube hit when she appeared in a video called The Moshi Dance. All sounds very highbrow.

Anyway, the injunction stops the Gaga wannabe "promoting, advertising, selling, distributing or otherwise making available to the public 'The Moshi Dance' or any musical work or video that purports to be performed by a character by the name of Lady Goo Goo, or that otherwise uses the name Lady Goo Goo or any variant thereon".

We wonder if Gaga will now take out an injunction to stop Kitty Brucknell copying her too?

Do you think tribute acts should be banned from copying artists? Leave a comment below.

Is Lourdes planning to keep it in the family?

PA

It looks like Lourdes Leon could be about to follow her mother Madonna into the family business, because it is reported that the 15-year-old has been having singing lessons.

While most girls her age would probably be mortified at the prospect of turning into their mothers, it seems that young Lourdes is positively embracing the prospect.
She already attends the LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts in Manhattan, which was the inspiration for the 1980s TV series Fame.

Metro quoted a source as saying: "She is taking lessons in New York from a famous singing coach who works with some of the best talent on Broadway.

"She comes every week after school. She has got a beautiful voice."

Up until now she has been thought to have been concentrating on her acting, but it seems she may have had a change of heart.

What do you reckon? Would you buy a Lourdes record? Comment below...

Aden evicted from the Big Brother house

PA

Aden Theobald might have lost his place in the Big Brother house last night but he also gained a girlfriend.

The hat-wearing 18-year-old was up against four of his fellow housemates but received the lowest number of public votes.

Luckily, his former housemate love Rebeckah Vaughn was on hand to cheer him up.
Having lost out to Jay, Faye, Aaron and the incredibly unpopular Anton, 'cool nerd' student Aden emerged from the house to the first cheers of the series and announced: "I loved the reception, all of you were f****** amazing!"

But the only thing we really wanted to know was whether the romance that started between Aden and Rebeckah inside the house would blossom on the outside.

During his interview with Brian Dowling, Aden admitted: "I love her to pieces," and as luck would have it, Rebeckah was in the audience.

Cue the onscreen kiss and a big 'aaahhh' from the crowd.

We're not sure their showmance romance will last but at least they'll get the odd glossy mag spread for their efforts.

What do you think - is it romance or fauxmance for Aden and Rebeckah? Leave your comments below...
