Katie's TV show facing the axe?

Love her or loathe her, it's not often Katie Price fails. But it seems the axe may already be hanging over her latest venture, Signed by Katie Price.

The show, which launched last week on Sky Living, pulled in just 130,000 viewers and it's looking increasingly unlikely that Katie's dream of finding 'the new Katie' will come true.

A source told The People yesterday: "Katie is hugely disappointed in the viewing figures. She loved making the show and thought it would be a huge success.

"But unfortunately it wasn't and already there is talk that it will face the axe."

To be fair, the writing was on the wall pretty early on - as it turns out, not that many people actually want to become the new Katie Price and the massive queues expected for the audition phase never materialised.
And even the fact that Katie pitched up for the show launch in her undies (see above) failed to woo the viewers.

The insider added: "Katie came up with the idea herself and has put a lot of time and energy into it. She had hoped she could find a string of stars over the next few years but it looks increasingly unlikely."

Oh well... you can't win 'em all.

Girls Aloud 'issued Harding rehab ultimatum'

Filed under:

PA

The news last week that Sarah Harding had entered rehab came as a shock to many, if not a total surprise.

And it was largely assumed that the break-up with fiancé Tom Crane was what prompted the singer to get help for alcohol addiction and depression.

Not so, according to the Sunday Mirror.
The paper claims it was actually Sarah's Girls Aloud bandmates that insisted politely suggested she seek treatment.

According to the Mirror, Cheryl Cole, Kimberley Walsh, Nicola Roberts and Nadine Coyle told Sarah it was the sober way or the highway.

The band plan to reunite for the big Girls Aloud 10-year anniversary next year and, much as they like the odd night out, Harding's hard-partying was on a different level.

An "impeccable source" told the tabloid: "They want these to be their best shows yet to make sure they come back with a bang and are coming up with some huge ideas.

"But as preparations started to get under way, the girls realised that, because of her party lifestyle, Sarah was unlikely to be in a fit shape to do it."

Hence the ultimatum.

All the girls are said to be "with her every step of the way" as she attempts to get her life back on track.

With things looking up on the fiancé front too, Sarah might just turn things around.

What do you think - will Girls Aloud be back with a bang next year? Comments below please...

Coronation Street actress Helen Flanagan has confirmed that she is quitting the soap after 12 years as Rosie Webster.

The 21-year-old has been struggling with panic attacks of late but denied rumours they were behind her decision to leave the Street.
Helen told the Sunday Mirror: "I have played Rosie for more than half my life and I feel the time has come for me to move on and try something new. I am very excited about what the future might hold for me.

"I have loved playing Rosie and during my time growing up on Corrie I have made some amazing friends and learnt an awful lot."

Flanagan is said to be keen on spending more time with her boyfriend, Swansea City footballer Scott Sinclair, and a friend said she "will probably take a break from acting".

Helen will film her final scenes at Christmas with the episodes airing in February.

However, bosses are reportedly leaving things open for Rosie Webster to return... so you never know.
