To think we thought it was a big leap from N-Dubz singer to X Factor judge.

In the space of a few short months, Tulisa Contostavlos has not only cemented her place on the talent show panel, she's also been impressing on the big screen.
The straight-talking urban star made her acting debut in the Idris Elba-produced Demons Never Die this week.

And the Luther star reportedly has big plans for Tulisa.

"Idris really sees a star quality in Tulisa and believes she can make it in Hollywood," a blabber-mouthed insider told the Sunday Mirror.

"He is going to see Tulisa and ask her to star in his new film which is about a London-based sports agency," the source revealed.

And if she signs up for the movie, she'll be rubbing shoulders with none other than Oscar-winner Charlize Theron.

Not bad going for a girl from a rough Camden council estate.

TOWIE star Maria Fowler has revealed recent reports suggesting she worked as an escort have left her feeling suicidal.

Last week The Sun newspaper reported that Maria appeared on the website of a high class escort agency.

But Maria insists she was never an escort.
"This has ruined my life," she told the Daily Star Sunday. "My whole world is a mess because of these evil claims.

"When I heard what was going to be printed I felt suicidal. I just thought if I ended it all and I wasn't here any more I wouldn't have to deal with this."

The 25-year-old revealed she feared her mother would think she was a "high-class hooker" and added: "I didn't eat for three days after hearing about it.

"To me this is worse than being accused of murder or taking drugs."

The reality star told the paper she was never considered an escort by anyone at the company and was only working as a promotions girl, which involved hosting at events such as the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

Maria says she now feels betrayed by her former employer.

"I was put in touch with this woman while I was a lapdancer and didn't even know her name until recently. I feel like I've been totally conned by her," she explained.

Fowler added: "Young girls need to be careful who they trust. If any good can come of this it will be if others learn from my mistakes."

"Artem has told people Kara has been yelling at him. No one knows why she is so insecure as she is so beautiful herself."

The former EastEnders actress won Artem's heart as well as the glitter ball trophy last year but watching his Chicago-inspired tango with Aussie Holly was never going to be easy.

Even so, we don't think she's got much to worry about - following her performance last night, Holly admitted: "I did enjoy killing him."

We told you it wouldn't be long before Strictly pro Anton du Beke was yearning for last year's partner Ann Widdecombe.

Dancefloor diva Nancy Dell'Olio hasn't just been causing trouble for backstage staff - she's reportedly laying into her dance partner too.

The demanding Italian came close to getting the boot on last night's show after a tango that was described by judge Craig as "like a plodding mule trudging through the mud".

She was saved when Daybreak presenter Dan Lobb was voted off but according to The Mirror, she's blaming Anton for the close call.

A source told the paper that Nancy had a "good old moan" about her professional mentor in the BBC bar, claiming du Beke is only interested in making himself look good.
"Clearly they both have enormous egos," the gossip said. "But she wants him to realise that she is the star and his job is to get her through each week.

"She is finding some of the steps he chooses too difficult, but he enjoys doing them so he keeps them in."

Apparently Dell'Olio also declared that notorious ladies' man Anton "must be gay" and was shocked to learn that he most definitely was not.

A BBC insider confirmed the pair had clashed, saying: "It's fair to say there is no love lost between Anton and Nancy. When this is all over, I don't think they will remain friends."

Maybe not, but there's nothing like a bit of tension to ramp up the ratings.
