I must admit, I feared the worst when Katy Perry performed on the X Factor sans wedding ring last week but was relieved to see it back in place when she popped out for a spot of dinner with the mother in law a few days later.

But now hubby Russell Brand has been spotted strolling around NYC without his wedding ring.

On the couple's first wedding anniversary, no less.
It was a different story the day before when the couple went for a bike ride together in New York. Despite their conflicting work schedules, Katy flew back from the UK where she's in the middle of her mammoth California Dreams world tour to be with her hubby.

And look how loved-up they look? Hmmm. Still, at least Russell was wearing his ring.

But fast forward 24 hours and it was nowhere to be seen. What the heckers is going on?

It's not the first time there has been speculation about the state of the couple's marriage. Their hectic schedules mean they are often on different sides of the world and these latest snaps are only going to add more fuel to the rumours that their marriage is on the rocks.

But despite the on-off relationship they have with their wedding rings, the couple still appear to be very much an item - squeezing in a movie while they were together in the Big A. And their film of choice? Love Story? Brief Encounter? An Officer and a Gentleman?

Nope. According to Twitter they opted for Forks Over Knives, which for the uninitiated is a documentary that 'examines the claim that most degenerative diseases can be controlled or reversed by rejecting animal based and processed foods.'

Who said romance was dead, eh?

But last year's runner up has finally got round to releasing her debut single, and we likey.
Nothing's Real But Love is a complete departure from previous X Factor singles - it's not all warbly like Leona, and it's not pop a la Alexandra and it's certainly an improvement from the decidedly 'meh' Matt Cardle.

Rebecca teamed up with Eg White to write the track, whose previous musical credits include Adele's Chasing Pavements and Will Young's Changes, and we have to say the result is just as good, if not better.

Speaking about the rest of the material on her forthcoming album, Rebecca revealed that her break-up with One Direction's Zayn Malik helped her find inspiration.

"I wrote a lot of tracks about what was happening to me at the time I was making the album, and that includes things with Zayn," she told the Daily Star.

"Recording was hard. It wasn't a case of skipping to the studio and being happy."

Nothing's Real But Love is available from 27^th November, with the album Heaven confirmed for release on the 5^th December.

First 18-year-old Zayne Malik got it on - and subsequently split - with fellow X Factor finalist Rebecca Ferguson - who, at 24, is six years his senior.

And now word reaches me that his 17-year-old bandmate, Harry Styles has been playing tonsil tennis with 31-year-old Xtra Factor host Caroline Flack. In some parts of the country at least, that makes her old enough to be his mother.
According to The Mirror, the pair were spotted snogging (as Harry no doubt refers to it) during a boozy night out for the cast and crew of the X Factor at London's W Hotel.

A source told the paper: "They had a big passionate snog and it caused mild hysterics with the group of people they were with. They looked really into each other and left in a cab together, eventually going their separate ways - much to the amusement of the group."

Note that bit about them 'going their separate ways'. Very important that.

And it looks as though the pair might have given each other the lurgy too. Both took to Twitter the following day complaining of sore throats.

Caroline wrote: "Woke up with the sorest throat and huge glands!!! Lucky I don't have to talk today.... DOH!"

And Harry wasn't feeling much better either. He tweeted: "Woke up with Man Flu and a sore throat today...but seeing 'Picawilly Circus' on my timeline has definitely cheered me up."

What is it with those One Direction boys and their thing for older ladies?

First 18-year-old Zayne Malik got it on - and subsequently split - with fellow X Factor finalist Rebecca Ferguson - who, at 24, is six years his senior.

And now word reaches me that his 17-year-old bandmate, Harry Styles has been playing tonsil tennis with 31-year-old Xtra Factor host Caroline Flack. In some parts of the country at least, that makes her old enough to be his mother.
According to The Mirror, the pair were spotted snogging (as Harry no doubt refers to it) during a boozy night out for the cast and crew of the X Factor at London's W Hotel.

A source told the paper: "They had a big passionate snog and it caused mild hysterics with the group of people they were with. They looked really into each other and left in a cab together, eventually going their separate ways - much to the amusement of the group."

Mitch Winehouse has revealed he wants Sarah Harding to be an ambassador for his charity set up in his late daughter's name.

The taxi driver has said he would send the Girls Aloud star into schools on behalf of the Amy Winehouse Foundation to help demonstrate the dangers of addiction.
Sarah checked into rehab earlier this month with alcohol and depressive issues following her split from fiancé Tom Crane.

"If we could pick Sarah up when she recovers and put her in front of a school assembly to tell those kids the reality of drinking and alcoholism, it would be making a big start," Mitch told The Sun.

"Sarah will be ideal, but all in good time when she has faced her own problems.

"There might be some kids who actually take notice of what she has to say."

Mitch has been working to set up the charity after the death of Amy in July, which has already given over £30,000 to sick children.
