Frankie Cocozza's first girlfriend: 'He became a scary person'

Louis Walsh may have told Frankie Cocozza he'll never be a rock star on Saturday, but it seems he's well on his way to becoming one after an ex lover told all in a kiss-and-tell.

The X Factor womanizer's first girlfriend has spoken out about their relationship, telling how he turned to drink and drugs after she broke his heart.

Yasmin Griffiths dated the singer during their early teens, when Frankie was apparently a completely different character to lothario he is today.

The 18 year-old has told The Mirror of how Frankie used to serenade her with S Club 7 and Westlife songs, and how the pair lost their virginities to each other as the age of 15.
"We waited a year before we had sex," she said. "He didn't put any pressure on me and was really romantic and nice. He kept asking if I was sure. He told me he loved me, so it felt right."

But when she ended the relationship, dumping Frankie for an older guy, she claims it "broke his heart" and he fell off the rails in spectacular fashion.

"Frankie just went off the edge and became this different scary person," Yasmin told The Mirror. "He started smoking and got drunk most nights. He dropped out of college and got in with the wrong crowd.

"At a party I caught him with a bag of mephedrone and asked him what he was doing. He said it was fun and threw it in my face."

Frankie previously admitted that his broken relationship with Yasmin had left him distraught.

"It was the worst six months of my life. It was vile, horrible. I would cry about her when I was drunk. I got over it in time and then I went to Malia and started shagging."

However, despite his wild behavior and bad boy reputation, Yasmin has insisted that underneath it all, Frankie's still the guy she once dated.

"He'll always be my first love - I just hope he doesn't lose himself acting up to the camera, as he's actually a really nice guy."

Meanwhile Frankie has landed The X Factor in more hot water as broadcasting regulator Ofcom has launched multiple investigations in to the show regarding the singer.

They are looking into the 102 complaints they received when Frankie was heard to say "f****** get in there!" as he made it through the results show two weeks ago.

The regulator are also launching an investigation into the way the show has glamourised and encouraged the misuse of alcohol after footage of the singer partying was shown.

What do you think of Frankie? Do you think he is trouble or his he just misunderstood? Leave a comment below.

Nadine Coyle: "I don't speak to the rest of Girls Aloud. They are not my friends"

Anyone still hoping for that Girls Aloud reunion might want to look away now.

The chances of the girl group getting back together look about as likely as Frankie Cocozza singing in tune on the X Factor after Nadine Coyle spoke out about her relationship with the rest of the girl group.

Talking to Heat magazine about Cheryl Cole, Kimberley Walsh, Nicola Roberts and Sarah Harding, the singer said: "They're not my friends. I don't speak to them or socialise with them."

Ouch.
"I have my own friends that I've grown up with and the girls are very much my colleagues. I wouldn't socialise with them outside of work," she said.

And a friend of the singer told the mag that the most bitter divide is between Nadine and Cheryl Cole.

"Nadine and Cheryl have never been close, and they're not about to start now," she said.

Nadine Coyle and Cheryl ColeRex

"They are two very different people who were forced upon each other in the band.

"Cheryl has always hated the fact that Nadine has a better voice than her and was always given lead vocals, but the sad truth is that having the better voice doesn't matter as Cheryl's had a string of solo hits and Nadine's solo career has fallen flat on its face.

"Nadine is shocked at how well Cheryl has done given her 'lack of talent'. Now she's said openly to her friends that the band need her for the reunion because she carries a lot of the songs."

And despite the reunion being planned for just a few months' time, there has still been no contact between Nadine and the rest of the girls.

"Nadine has had no contact with the girls about it," her friend said. "She only communicates with her management."

The full article appears in this week's heat magazine, on sale now.

X Factor in trouble over Frankie's onscreen antics

Frankie Cocozza may have escaped elimination on Sunday's X Factor but his bad behaviour hasn't escaped the attention of unhappy viewers.

TV watchdog Ofcom has launched an investigation after viewers complained about the tousled wannabe's onstage swearing.

Others suggested that footage of him boozing at a club "glamorised alcohol".

According to The Mirror, the watchdog received around 150 complaints regarding the October 22 and 23 episodes.

On the Saturday show Frankie was filmed "getting his confidence back" by boozing in a nightclub and during Sunday's pre-watershed episode he yelled, "F*****g have it - get in there", after surviving the public vote.
Bet Gary's wishing he'd tried to tame him now.

An ITV insider admitted Frankie is "causing lots of problems", saying, "We just want him to settle down. Toning things down would help him and the show."

After last weekend, Frankie's going to need all the help he can get.

The Twitter abuse and Louis Walsh's onscreen comments have reportedly got to the skinny teen and he threatened to quit before Sunday's show.

An X Factor source told The Mirror, "He was in a right state on Sunday and appeared to be cracking up after reading what people had said about him.

"Show bosses including Gary Barlow had to sit him down and persuade him it was worth staying in the competition. He can still go on the tour and make a career."

Mind you, since he's rumoured to have had just 30 minute's kip before the show, it's little wonder he was feeling a touch fragile.

What do you think - will Frankie be on his best behaviour from now on? Leave a comment below...

Hands up who was impressed with Holly Valance and Artem Chigvintsev's jive on Saturday's Strictly?

Now, hands up those who can believe the Russian pro dancer did it all with a fractured spine?

Artem was injured during rehearsals last Friday but was diagnosed with a strained muscle and danced through the pain on Saturday's show.

It later emerged that the 29-year-old had suffered a transverse process fracture of his spine, typically caused by rotation or sideways bending.

With Artem sidelined, Strictly's resident hard taskmaster Brendan Cole has stepped in to teach Holly the rumba and may end up partnering the Aussie on Saturday's show.
Last night the BBC issued a statement to say, "Artem injured himself during rehearsals on Friday. Following medical attention he has been diagnosed with a transverse process fracture of the lumbar spine.

"We have been told that this sort of fracture is completely stable and he has been advised that there is no untoward effect from him continuing to dance. We will, of course, continue to review this following medical advice over the course of the week."

We wish him a speedy recovery.

Cheryl Cole has revealed that doctors told her she had to stop exercising and eat as much as she could if she wanted to save her life.

The Girls Aloud star has been telling InStyle magazine about her health crisis last summer, when at one point she was given just 24 hours to live after contracting malaria on a trip to Africa.
The 28-year-old star said: "I just ate everything. It opened my eyes to health and things I hadn't focused on before.

"It's now less about work, work, work and more about making time to chill and be with my friends and family."

She also confessed that she had become hooked on tattoos, to the frustration of some of her friends.

She said: "'They are addictive, they really are. If it was up to me - and I could be brave for one day - I would have my whole back done.

"My friends say 'Cheryl, please, you might regret it' - but to me, it's art."

Cheryl is also reported to be planning a holiday with her Girls Aloud bandmate Sarah Harding, who she has been supporting during a recent stint in rehab.

The Sun quoted a source as saying: "Cheryl has been there for Sarah massively. They've had some heartfelt conversations on the phone.

"Cheryl can identify with Sarah because she's hit rock bottom in the past too. It's been a long time since they've spent real quality time together so they've decided to jet off for a break.

"They thought America will be best as they can slip under the radar easily out there. Obviously it will be a wholesome holiday."

We should hope so too, don't forget to send us a postcard girls!

The worlds of celebrity and fashion have always gone hand in hand (well, unless you're Katie Price) and now the likes of Alexandra Burke, Patsy Kensit and Kevin Pietersen have had their own fashion design skills put to the test - all in the name of charidee.

They've each created a unique item of clothing that will go on sale in Debenhams to raise funds for disadvantaged children and young people here in the UK for BBC Children in Need.
The celebrities have had the chance to show off their talents by choosing everything in the outfits including fabrics, cut and colouring. Throughout this fashion project they have sought inspiration at every turn and gained advice from the best talent the fashion industry has to offer.

You'll be able to get your mitts on the limited range in store and online at www.debenhams.com from Thursday 10 November, helping to raise much needed cash for BBC Children in Need.

No, she's not at Luton Airport - former Emmerdale star Lorraine Chase has touched down at Brisbane Airport, confirming rumours she's to appear on I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!

The actress, famed for her "Nah, Luton Airport!" catchphrase in 70s TV ads, is one of the first campmates to arrive in Australia ahead of the show's launch on Sunday.
Lorriane told The Mirror she was ready for the any challenges the jungle may throw at her:

"It felt like it was Godsent and now I'm really looking forward to getting in there," she said.

Also spotted touching down in Oz were comic Freddie Starr and pint-sized racing pundit Willie Carson.

Willie told The Sun he's not exactly looking forward to staying in the outback:

"I'm not ready for the camping aspect and I'm really going to miss my bed," he said. "I'm really looking forward to experiencing Australia, but I'm not prepared for roughing it in the jungle.

Heavily rumoured to be joining them are TOWIE star Mark Wright, EastEnders' Natalie Cassidy, McFly guitarist Dougie Poynter, Simon Cowell's left hand woman Sinitta and The Real Hustle's Jessica-Jane Clement.

The latest name to join that list is Pineapple Dance Studios' Louie Spence, who is said to have been persuaded at the last minute to join the show, despite having a fear of flying.

The full, confirmed line-up will be unveiled on Thursday.

We can't wait for all the jungle fun to begin!
