Kim K's former publicist: 'Marriage was a publicity stunt'

Kim Kardashian might have just ended one of the shortest marriages in showbiz history but so far she's stood by her 'I married for true love' statement.

But a 72-day marriage that was billed as 'America's royal wedding' and screened on TV is bound to arouse suspicion.

Step forward Jonathan Jaxson, Kim's former publicist.
Mr Jaxson has already suggested his ex-client is still not over her last sporting BF Reggie Bush and has now declared Kim's marriage to Kris Humphries a sham.

On this morning's Good Day LA, Jaxson said, "Two weeks prior to her wedding she knew it was not something she wanted to do.

"Unfortunately they were obligated to honour contracts otherwise they would have owed a lot of people a lot of money."

As if Kim would get married just for publicity.

To be fair, Mr Jaxson should know. Though he only worked for Ms Kardashian for two years, Jonathan claims he regularly staged publicity stunts.

Back in 2007, for instance, Kim was spotted 'ring-shopping' in Beverly Hills. But apparently the ring on her wedding finger was one she kept for just such an occasion... the very same one Kris proposed with, claims Jaxson.

And as for Kris Jenner's "she didn't make a dime" revelation, Jaxson called it "foolish garbage".

Good thing Kim had a prenup in place, eh?

What do you think - will Kim's 72-day marriage boost her reality career or end up ruining it? Leave your comments below...

With her prenup keeping the cash safe, Kim's unlikely to get stung in the divorce courts. Sadly these stars can't say the same...

X Factor: Amelia Lily makes 'sensational' return amidst 'Fix Factor' claims

It's been a rough week for the X Factor and things don't look like improving.

Following Frankie's departure came the news that either James Michael, Jonjo Kerr, 2 Shoes or Amelia Lily would get a second chance thanks to a phone vote.

Unfortunately, the announcement wasn't the big surprise show bosses had hoped for because X Factor-endorsed website STV revealed that Amelia Lily had won the public vote at 8.06pm... an hour before the phone lines closed.

The site's congratulatory message didn't escape the notice of thousands of fans, who were presumably amusing themselves during the unfortunate 15-minute 'BT power cut' at the start of Saturday's show.

STV later apologised for the blunder, insisting "stories had been prepared for each contestant in anticipation of the result" and claiming a "technical hitch" meant all four went live.
Xtra Factor host Caroline Flack later assured viewers "we didn't know who was going to go through until the phone line actually closed".

By happy coincidence Amelia Lily did, in fact, win the vote and returned with what Gary Barlow called a "sensational" rendition of Queen's The Show Must Go On.

However, if viewers were hoping for a night of show-stopping performances on 'Queen vs Lady Gaga' night they were more than likely disappointed.

Kitty Brucknell, a former Lady Gaga impersonator, opened the show with Queen's Don't Stop Me Now (and yes, there were tears when she couldn't sing Born This Way), complete with massive hair and, um... man chariot.

Craig Colton showed off his impressive vocal skills with a pared down (if depressing) version of Paparazzi, Marcus Collins was accused of being "predictable" by Tulisa after his performance of Another One Bites the Dust and Misha B was praised for her rendition of Born This Way.

After last week's attempt at 'up beat', Irish teen Janet Devlin and her mentor Kelly decided it should be "all about the voice" again but even a stripped back version of Queen's Somebody to Love failed to win over the judges.

Tulisa called her "one-dimensional" and Gary announced that he's "starting to feel a little bit bored of you".

Little Mix didn't fare much better - grumpy Gary suggested Tulisa was "running out of ideas" and asked the girls whether they wanted to sing something other than pop/R&B.

It was obvious they do. AWKWARD.

X Factor round-upRex

And he might be right about Tulisa because she ended up blurting out that old Louis Walsh favourite, "I want the whole of Essex to pick up the phone and vote for you tonight".

Come back Simon Cowell... all is forgiven.

Long before Frankie had a long list of girls names tattooed on his bum, Kitty sought fame and Johnny asked Gary Barlow to rub his lantern, they were all innocent little children. Play our Guess Who? game with these childhood pics of the X Factor contestants.

J-Lo 'dating backing dancer'

It's fair to say Jennifer Lopez hasn't had a great deal of luck when it comes to relationships.

And apparently she's never heard the phrase 'once bitten, twice shy' either because according to US reports she's dating another backing dancer.
Just four months after splitting from hubby Marc Anthony, the singer/actress is rumoured to be secretly dating twenty-something dancer Casper Smart, who was hired to work on her San Francisco show.

Despite rumours that she's "casually dating" Bradley Cooper, a gossip told Us Weekly that J-Lo's been seeing the "dope" dancer (his words, not ours) for a few weeks but insists it's "nothing serious".

Maybe so, but the pair were spotted trying to avoid the paps in New York a few weeks ago.

And it's not the first time Lopez has fallen for a dancer - her second husband, Cris Judd was also a backing dancer but their marriage effectively ended when she hooked up with Ben Affleck a year later.

Still, you know what they say - if at first you don't succeed...

What do you think - should J-Lo give Casper a wide berth? Leave a comment below...

"She still loves Tommy... she's just not sure if things can get back to where they were."

In the meantime though, Harding is said to be planning a low-key, belated 30th birthday do back in the UK.

Freddie heads into the jungle... probably wishes he hadn't

After the big insurance hoo haa, Freddie Starr has finally made it safely into the Australian jungle for I'm A Celebrity.

Mind you, he was probably wishing the paperwork had been lost in the post soon after because the celebs were plunged straight into the first Bushtucker Trial.
Yesterday the show was in turmoil as a problem with Freddie's insurance meant he was unable to enter the jungle wilderness but he has now swapped the coffee and cigarettes for some juicy mealworms. Yum!

Not that it fazed him, you understand. After undergoing a quadruple heart bypass last year, Freddie's afraid of nothing.

"It's made me not care about death because I nearly died," he told the Daily Mail. "When you come through something like that, you don't worry about little incidental things any more."

Wonder if he'll still be saying that in three weeks time!

As for the other celebs, well... you'll just have to tune in tonight to see how they made their way into the jungle. But here's a heads up... TOWIE star Mark Wright's face was a picture!

Are you looking forward to this year's I'm A Celeb? What do you think of the line-up? Leave a comment below...

X Factor: Kitty's out after Misha B sing off

Rex

Kitty Brucknell was eliminated from the X Factor last night after a sing-off with Misha B.

The eccentric hopeful had been in the bottom two twice before but her powerful vocals had always got her through.

Up against Misha B though, it was always going to be tough for Kitty and despite a heartfelt rendition of Over the Rainbow and a vote of confidence from mentor Louis Walsh, she was sent home by the judges.

In typical slightly bonkers style, Kitty chose to ditch the tearful last words in favour of a few lines from Lady Gaga's Born This Way.

That all proved too much for guest performer, Lady Gaga (minus the decapitated torso outfit, thankfully), who rushed on stage to comfort Kitty and invite her back to the dressing room for a glass of vino.
That leaves Misha, Janet Devlin, Craig Colton, Marcus Collins, Little Mix and comeback queen Amelia Lily to fight it out next week.

Did the right act leave on Sunday night?

And if today's rumours are anything to go by, teenager Janet is going to find things increasingly difficult because reports suggest she's no longer even speaking to her mentor Kelly Rowland.

Today's Mirror newspaper claims the 17-year-old is feeling "unloved and ignored". And when Janet refused to go to a Tinie Tempah gig with Kelly and Misha, Ms Rowland reportedly said, "Good."

A gossiping insider told the tabloid, "Janet feels unloved and ignored. She is convinced that Kelly will devote all her time to Misha and Amelia and none to her. But Kelly can't just ignore her, it simply isn't fair.

"... As it stands, the pair are barely speaking and Janet is really p***** off."

Since Misha B has twice been in the bottom two and Janet has so far escaped, perhaps that's not such a bad thing.

What do you think - were you sad to see Kitty leave last night? Leave a comment below...

Strictly: Audley Harrison cha chas off, Harry McFly sizzles

BBC

Boxer Audley Harrison is by no means the worst dancer to grace the Strictly ballroom but with most of the celebrity deadweights having already waltzed off, it was the big man's time to go.

His Cha Cha Cha drew criticism from judge Bruno Tonioli, who declared, "National Rail on a Bank Holiday has better timing."
Audley said of his time on the show, "I've really enjoyed myself.

"Imagine the first week I was 100/1 to go out, so hopefully all those people who lost money on me with the David Haye fight, hopefully they got their money back!"

Surviving the bottom two was Anita Dobson, described as a "sexy mama" after her Argentine tango and the judges were largely impressed with all the remaining stars.

Having tripped on last weekend's show, One Show host Alex Jones is undoubtedly improving (or "blossoming" as Len Goodman put it) and scored 31 for her jive, Russell Grant brightened up everyone's evening by dressing as a "giant Ferrero Rocher" (Len's words) for the American Smooth and Robbie Savage continued his crowd-pleasing run, scoring 31 for the same dance.

Jason Donovan was visibly disappointed by Craig's assessment of his waltz (his arms are letting his down) but still managed to score 35 and get a personal video message from Kylie (awww).

And despite a last-minute partner change, Holly Valance managed to score 34 with the help of Artem stand-in Brendan Cole and a sexy rumba.

Last week's leaderboard topper Chelsee Healy continues to impress and even Craig admitted, "You're starting to tick all my boxes, well done."

But it was McFly's Harry Judd that blew (almost) everyone away with a sizzling tango that scored two 10s and a total of 37.

Audley Harrison leaves StrictlyBBC

Craig Revel Horwood awarded Harry a nine, saying. "It was filth and I loved it!" while Bruno and Alesha dished out 10s.

Not everyone was a fan though - Len Goodman moaned about the supposed lack of passion and called Craig a "silly little sod" before making a hasty apology.

And Harry's girlfriend is apparently none to pleased about his raunchy routines with Aliona.

We doubt she'll be moaning if he takes home the glitter ball trophy though... and that's looking increasingly likely.

Kim getting legal with former publicist

Reality TV queen Kim Kardashian is reported to have hired a "pit bull" lawyer to sue a former PR guy who has been making claims about her marriage.

US gossip site TMZ claims that Kimmy has retained the services of Marty Singer, who is not actually a dog, to tackle Jonathan Jaxson - the guy who has been mouthing off about her marriage to Kris Humphries being a sham.
Kim has pointed out that she only worked with Jaxson briefly, years before she married Kris, and barely remembers who he is.

She also claims that she got him to sign a confidentiality agreement - and that she's unhappy with him for breaching it now.

Kim is reported to be seeking at least $200k in damages for what she claims are Jaxson's defamatory comments.

And TMZ quoted lawyer Singer as saying: "Everything that he is saying is false and nonsense. This guy is in it to promote himself for his 15 mins of fame."

But Jaxson's only response has been to say: "I have never signed an agreement dealing with confidentiality with Kim Kardashian. I have an agreement in my possession that does not have either parties' signature on it."

What do you reckon? Does Kim have a good case? Comment below if you wish...

Simon gets his cheque book out for Cheryl's X Factor return

0

PA

While we're still loving this year's series of The X Factor, it has to be said we do miss certain members of the old judging panel just a little bit.

So we were a tad excited to hear that Simon Cowell has reportedly made Cheryl Cole a big money offer to make a dramatic return to the show.
Plans were afoot for Cheryl to step in for a sick Kelly Rowland two weeks ago, but talks apparently fell through at the last minute, leaving Alexandra Burke to park her bum in Kelly's seat.

A source close to Simon told The Mail on Sunday: "The X Factor UK team and Cheryl did discuss her coming back on the weekend when Kelly was ill. She was up for it but it didn't quite work out - it was all very amicable."

However, Simon is now determined to ensure Cheryl reappears on our screens, as he reportedly believes viewers 'miss her' and the public haven't warmed to the new panel in the same way.

Simon is jetting back to the UK this week to hold talks with show bosses and this year's crop of contestants, after reportedly being maddened by the drop in viewing figures. And while he's on these shores, he's hoping to secure Cheryl's services to win those viewers back.

"Simon feels that something is missing from this year's X Factor, and although he jokes that it's him he does also feel the nation is missing Cheryl," the source said. "She has always been incredibly popular and he knows she will pull back the viewers in droves."

It is claimed that Cheryl's return would see her come back in a backstage role as a guest mentor in the final weeks of the competition, giving out advice to all the contestants on their performances.

"She is thinking about it - Simon has been very generous," the insider said.

Meanwhile, a spokesperson for Cheryl played down the rumours saying: "She is over The X Factor. It's behind her, she is moving on with other projects."

But with reports of Simon and Cheryl having mended their friendship, we wouldn't be surprised if La Cole returns to cement her place as the nation's sweetheart sometime soon...
