X Factor judge Tulisa has opened up further about her upbringing on a tough council estate, admitting she used to carry around a baseball bat for protection.

The feisty singer has told of how she was so scared of bullies growing up that she felt the need to protect herself from them.
"I had to walk down the road with a baseball bat in my pocket," she told The Mirror.

"I didn't end up having to use the bat, but I did have to punch people back."

And while she might now be part of one of the most popular teams on TV, Tulisa previously admitted to being a bully following years of being bullied herself.

"We were this aggressive gang of chicks out to cause mayhem," she said.

"In the years before that I'd been getting beaten up . . . but now I was the bully."

However, Tulisa's old image as a bit of a hard nut was dispelled by her father Plato. Speaking to the Daily Mai he said: "I don't know where this image of her being from the 'ghetto' comes from. It's not the Tulisa I know. She is a well brought-up girl who had a comfortable childhood."

Ousted X Factor acts slam 'lucky' Amelia Lily

X Factor semi-finalist Amelia Lily is reportedly in meltdown after being blasted by the show's former contestants.

The axed wannabes told Amelia she was 'lucky to be in the competition' after she returned to the show in the wake of Frankie Cocozza's axing.

Tensions apparently reached boiling point on Sunday night when all the ex-contestants returned to the show's studios to perform their charity single.

"Amelia got a lot of flack from the other singers because she came back halfway through the contest. She didn't take the criticism well," a source told The Mirror.
"She has been very down this week and told one crew member backstage 'I don't deserve to be here'.

"She has been staying on her own a lot and not really speaking to anyone except her brother Lewis, who gives her advice."

Marcus Collins has previously denied the currently-competing contestants were upset over the singer's return to the competition, following reports he and Misha B weren't talking to Amelia.

Meanwhile, the finalists' version of Wishing on a Star looks set to top the charts on Sunday according to early indications.

The track - recorded with One Direction and JLS - is raising money for ACT and Children's Hospices UK and sees all the final 16 (apart from Frankie) reunite to cover the Rose Royce classic.

Hmmm, a certain someone is either...

(a) Having a seriously bad hair day
(b) Has a massive spot on their face
(c) On Tesco's payroll
(d) Or simply getting all camera shy

But who is it? Find out over the jump...

Reveal yourself... Matt Bellamy. No? Anyone? He's the lead singer of Muse. Still nothing? Mr Kate Hudson (that's her on the right)?

What do you mean you wouldn't recognise him if you tripped over him in the street? Bet you would if he had a plastic bag on his head though, wouldn't you?

Matt Bellamy and Kate HudsonBig Pictures

In fact if he'd decided against wearing the headgear for his stroll around Primrose Hill with his wife, we wouldn't even be here now, which is no doubt what he wanted in the first place. Hmmm.

I'm A Celebrity: Willie leaves the jungle

ITV

Former jockey Willie Carson was pipped at the I'm A Celebrity post yesterday, losing out in the public vote just one day before the final.

The five-time champion seemed delighted at the prospect of leaving the jungle after 20 days and raced across the bridge to hosts Ant and Dec.

Carson admitted that "not having the outside world" had been tough but claimed he "didn't mind the conditions".

What he did mind, as if we need say it, was the dishonesty of camp traitors Dougie and Antony.

"Dishonesty was shown to be worthwhile and I didn't like it," Willie explained. "If you're dishonest, you should be punished - not the other way round."
Mind you, Willie was feeling a little the worse for wear after a night of hot tub high jinks with Peter Andre and a bottle of champers, so maybe we should forgive him the odd grumble.

Elsewhere in camp, the contestants were given the chance to make their very own jungle soap opera... and surprise, surprise, it was Corrie star Antony that took the reins.

Cue the world's worst acting from Mark Wright and Dougie Poynter, and Antony uttering little gems like, "It just has to be organic."

Priceless.
