She's famously private about her personal life, but Kylie Minogue has finally opened up about her battle with breast cancer.Speaking in an interview with Elle, accompanied by a photoshoot of the pop princess looking better than ever, she described her fight with the disease as "gruelling".She said: "I do keep so much private - the public don't know the half of what... They know the story: I was ill, I went for treatment, I was better. But what that involved is... it's so much more, I can't even go into it."
Awww, poor Kylie. We wish we could give her a hug.
She was diagnosed with cancer during 2005's Showgirl tour and says her perspective on life has been changed by the ordeal - and says that now she's 41 she can put some things that used to bother her out of her mind.
"Some things have just clicked. It's ridiculous that it's taken that long. I see an unflattering picture, I try to put it in perspective. It's not a scan after all; it's just a normal picture, so that's good."
Kylie also spoke glowingly about her Spanish boyfriend Andres Velencoso, saying: "I'm in a very happy, romantic place and Andrés is so level-headed and easygoing. It's enjoyable."
She did dismiss any thoughts of marriage at this point though, despite admitting that she was having "my Bridget Jones moment" before she met Andres.
But as fascinating as the interview is, there's one key issue that it avoids. What's keeping Kylie in that blooming hammock? Shouldn't she be falling out if it? We suspect the hand of Photoshop there.
The full shoot and interview appears in the June issue of ELLE Magazine (UK), out now.
