Tim Burton recruits Misha B for new film

PA

She's stated that she expects to be heading home from The X Factor this weekend, but it seems Misha B has laready got a fall-back plan in effect.

The 19-year-old Londoner was apparently approached by Hollywood director Tim Burton at a recording session in the week - and will be singing and doing a voice part in his current project Frankenweenie.
Mish was at London's Metropolis studios with fellow contestants Marcus Collins, Little Mix and Amelia Lily - where they were all recording their individual versions of the winner's song.

The Mirror quotes a source as saying: "Tim was at the studios for work when he spotted Misha. He's a huge fan of hers and spoke to a producer, requesting an audience with the singer.

"The pair spoke for around 15 minutes, with Tim outlining his plans for Misha, and asking whether she would be interested in recording a track. Misha was blown away and hugely flattered. She agreed immediately and the pair swapped management details.

"Simon Cowell has been told and has agreed to waive the strict terms on her X Factor contract so Misha can take part."

The news will be a welcome boost for Misha, who has been feeling as bit sunk after repeatedly ending up in the bottom two - despite glowing praise from the judges.

She has blamed Tulisa for screwing up her chances in the show by accusing her of bullying.

What do you reckon? Will Misha make it biggest out of this year's lot? Comment below...

Dougie Poynter has won this year's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!

The McFly bassist beat his new best friend, TOWIE star Mark Wright, in the public vote and was rendered speechless by the news that he was the winner.
When he managed to get some words out, he said: "It's been the best couple of weeks of my life, I wish everyone could experience that!"

And Mark praised his chum, saying: "He's the nicest, kindest person in the whole world."

Earlier on they had both earlier passed the the "Last Supper in the Jungle" Bushtucker Trial with flying colours.

The challenge had a memorable - ahem - climax when Dougie scoffed a bushbuck penis.

Both were enthusiastic when talking about their experience in the jungle, with Dougie saying: "This time last year I was at, like, rock bottom and it's just been a complete whirlwind. I never thought I would be in here and be so happy."

While Mark said he wanted to be in the show to show TOWIE fans: "The real side of me, not just being entertaining and causing argument but the side that is really me in my heart."

What do you reckon? Is Dougie a worthy winner? Comment below...

X Factor: Gary tells Misha 'I don't think you can win'

With the tension ramped up to 11 for semi-final week, there was plenty of X Factor drama last night.

Sadly, none of it happened on stage.

With the judges ruled out of making the decision as to who makes it to the final, Gary saw fit to rake over old ground by bringing up the Misha B bullying row again, slamming Tulisa and Louis for ruining the 19-year-old's chances.
On a night of Motown classics and 'songs to get you to the final', Barlow praised Misha B, who opened the show with Martha and the Vandella's Dancing in the Street, for making his X Factor experience "a positive one".

Misha's second song, F***in Perfect by Pink, also went down well with each judge gushing about her talent.

But Gary shocked the audience by announcing, "You have been wrongfully accused of being someone that you're not.

"Even if you are lucky enough to get through tomorrow night, I don't think you can win because of that and that's a shame."

There was no disagreement from mentor Kelly Rowland on that score but she did declare, "Win, lose, X Factor, no X Factor, you are a star!"

Whether Misha can win the show or not remains to be seen but after last night's performances, no one act is looking like a standout winner.

Even ultra-consistent Marcus' songs fell a bit flat - he started with The Temptations' My Girl and, despite admitting his vocals were "amazing", Tulisa suggested it wasn't the best song choice by Gary.

And his follow-up, Can You Feel It by The Jackson 5, also got a mixed reaction from the judges with Louis saying of the Scouser's performance, "There's something missing for me. That wasn't the right song choice."

Amelia Lily impressed with the Diana Ross classic Ain't No Mountain High Enough, which all the judges agreed was "amazing" and her rendition of I'm With You by Avril Lavigne was declared "the best vocal performance of the night" by Louis Walsh.

Gary disagreed with the Irishman, obviously... we think it might be in his contract.

It turned out to be a tough night for Little Mix though.

Little Mix X Factor semi-finalsRex

After singing The Supremes' You Keep Me Hangin' On, Louis suggested they had "lost their mojo" while Gary insisted Perrie was the best singer and should feature more heavily on the vocals.

Their second song, Beyonce's If I were a Boy, received more negative feedback with Gary telling the girls, "For a semi final act these vocal weren't good enough".

A furious Tulisa began desperately shouting that people should "pick up their phone and vote" whilst slamming the desk with her hand.

Mind you, Kelly claims the Little Mix girls could "change the world" if they discovered the "strength within each other"... so it wasn't all bad.

Who was your favourite semi-final act?

Li-Lo lined up for Celebrity Big Brother?

Channel 5 are reportedly attempting a massive Celebrity Big Brother coup by getting troubled actress Lindsay Lohan into the house.

According to The Sunday Mirror, producers are desperate to get the 25-year-old on board... as long as the US courts will allow it.
Lindsay has been in out of court more often than she's fallen out of nightclubs and just last month was jailed (admittedly only for four-and-a-half hours) for violating a probation order.

She is also busy with her morgue-cleaning community service but Channel 5 execs are hoping to persuade the courts that a stint in the Celebrity Big Brother house with a bunch of Z-listers is exactly what she needs to get her life back on track.

An insider told the paper, "Lindsay would be an absolutely amazing signing for us. She's a Hollywood A-lister and everyone knows about all the trouble she's been in.

"She's a fiery character too, so there are sure to be some major clashes with other celebs if we get her in the house."

They'll need deep pockets though - Li-Lo is rumoured to have earned $1 million for her Playboy spread so imagine what four weeks in the Big Brother house will cost.

What do you think - would you tune in to see Lindsay in the Big Brother house? Leave a comment below...

Tinie Tempah 'gets touchy-feely' with Nicole Scherzinger

It sounds like Lewis Hamilton has got some competition for Nicole Scherzinger's affections.

Rumours has it, the former Pussycat Doll has been getting on famously with another Brit - namely, Tinie Tempah.

Tinie popped across the pond last week to perform Pass Out on The X Factor USA and reportedly got up close and personal with Nicole while he was at it.
A gossip told the Sunday Mirror, "Tinie met all the judges backstage, and he hit it off with Nicole instantly.

"She was flirting outrageously and it got to the point where all the crew were whispering about something going on."

There was even some "extremely touchy-feely" dancing, according to The Mirror's inside man, and Tinie ended up in Nicole's dressing room trying some of her "delicious treats" (calm down, it was food she brought back from Hawaii).

The source went on, "As soon as Simon Cowell arrived at the studio and asked where Tinie was, he laughed when a member of the production crew told him he was in Nicole's dressing room and said, 'Another one bites the dust'."

We're not reading too much into it though (honest!) - after all, Nicole is rumoured to be heading back into the arms of her Formula One ex and Tinie reportedly went for dinner with Cheryl Cole while he was in LA so he's probably just scoping out another 'musical collaboration'.

What do you reckon - will Nicole go back to Lewis? Leave a comment below...

Robbie Savage's Strictly run comes to an end

BBC

Robbie Savage's run of crowd-pleasing Strictly performances finally came to an end last night as he became the latest celeb to be voted off the dancefloor.

Robbie, who dedicated Saturday's dance to the late Gary Speed, did his best with the Reservoir Dogs-themed quickstep and the judges' comments weren't all negative.

Len declared it "top notch" (for effort at least) and Alesha called Savage a "smooth operator". Always one to spoil the party, Craig described it as "a rabbit doing a trot".

Savage took news of his impending departure well though and said he hoped the public had seen the real Robbie.

"People didn't know who I was before I came to this show," he explained. "I wasn't a nice person on the football pitch and hopefully I've changed people's perceptions of me. I am just a normal, decent guy."
Elsewhere in movie week, there was old school Hollywood glamour, Spanish passion, outstanding hip action... and Shrek.

Holly Valance was no doubt relieved to have escaped the bottom two this week - Craig said her Zorro-themed Paso Doble was a "personal best" and suggested if she didn't spend so much time looking at the floor, "it would be perfect".

Taking her place in the vote-off spotlight this week was Jason Donovan. His Foxtrot to Singin' in the Rain impressed Bruno, who described it as "expertly executed", but apparently didn't do the same for the viewers.

Alex Jones improved again with her "gorgeous" American Smooth, danced to the tune of Pretty Woman while, Harry Judd remains on course for a McFly reality show double after Dougie's I'm A Celebrity win.

His rumba, performed to Bryan Adams' Robin Hood theme (Everything I Do) I do it for You, was the best Alesha Dixon had seen for some time and even Craig Revel-Horwood couldn't help but notice he had been working on his hip action.

The star of the show this week though was Chelsee Healey who, along with partner Pasha Kovalev, danced a Shrek-tastic jive, topping the leaderboard with an impressive 39.

Chelsee Healey StrictlyBBC

Pasha might have been unrecognisable in his ogre make-up but Chelsee's talent was on show for all to see. Alesha called it "cute and fun" - Craig said "it was incredible". High praise indeed.

It's onwards and upwards for the celebs... but who will make it to the final?

X Factor: Misha B gets the boot (VOTE)

Rex

Gary Barlow's X Factor prediction came true yesterday as Misha B was voted out of the show.

On Saturday, the Take That singer/songwriter declared that the 19-year-old could not win thanks to the bullying row and it seems he was right.

Misha had been in the bottom two on three previous occasions but had always been saved by the judges.

As the final loomed it all came down to the public vote and, up against comeback queen Amelia Lily, it was Misha who was sent home.

The Mancunian remained gracious in defeat, however, thanking everyone from mentor Kelly Rowland to the backstage team and began her parting song, Jessie J's Who You Are, with a self-written rap.

Tulisa was seen holding back the tears as the Misha performed for the last time (read into that what you will).
For Marcus Collins, Amelia Lily (whose X Factor 'journey' has been unusual to say the least) and Little Mix, who have made history as the first girlband to reach the final, the pressure is on.

The question is, who will take home the big prize?

Did the right act leave in semi-final week?

Something tells us this won't be the last we hear of Misha B. And she wouldn't be the first X Factor loser to hit the big time...
