Amy Childs: 'I'm nearly a millionaire' (VOTE)

Former TOWIE 'star' Amy Childs has revealed that she has almost piled up a million quid since the reality soap first hit our screens.

The 21-year-old - who opened her own beauty salon in Brentford, Essex, this week - has made her fortune from her own product lines and from appearing in reality TV shows.
Although the stars of TOWIE only get a bit of pocket money, Amy is thought to have secured a couple of big paydays after she left the show by appearing in Celebrity Big Brother and signing up for her new Five show, It's All About Amy.

Speaking to the Sunday Mirror, she said: "Oh my god, it's true, I am not far off becoming a millionaire. I hate talking about money, but I am doing well. I've got my own clothing line, my own tan and false eyelash range. I've just opened my own beauty salon, and I've got my own TV show.

"It's mad when you think I am severely dyslexic. But my mum and dad were determined it wouldn't hold me back. They went without nights out and holidays so I could have private tuition. It gave me the confidence to believe in myself.

"I only got one GCSE, a B for my French, because I could speak it better than I could write it. But when I started working in a beauty salon at 15, everyone said I was a natural. If I put my mind to something, then I do it."

How does this news make you feel?

Amy recently got involved in the row between the cast of TOWIE and footballer Joey Barton.

Strictly: Anita cha chas out, Robbie drops his trousers and Harry scores three 10s

BBC

Actress Anita Dobson last night became the latest celeb to be voted off the Strictly dancefloor after a Saturday night extravaganza that tested both grace and stamina.

Strictly's resident stand-in Brendan Cole had stepped in for Anita's usual partner Robin Windsor, who was nursing a foot infection.
Though Alesha calling the pair's cha cha "quirky, funny and sweet", Craig described the dance as only "mediocre" and Anita found herself up against Aussie Holly Valance (in the bottom two for the second week running).

There was an emotional goodbye for the former EastEnder as regular partner Robin called to describe Anita as "one of the most enthusiastic, hardworking people" he had ever had the pleasure to work with.

Dobson reciprocated, telling Windsor he had made it a "humorous, enjoyable, fun, learning experience".

Holly, meanwhile, will dance again and her appearance in the bottom two was something of a surprise as the judges agreed that she had finally "let go" for the foxtrot. A low score in the group Swing-a-thon, however, meant she and partner Artem could only manage fourth place.

The One Show presenter Alex Jones, who topped the leaderboard with a passionate tango last week, received a tepid response for her Charleston but Jason Donovan put himself back in the game with his third-placed effort.

Chelsee Healey continues to impress judges and audience alike, scoring 35 for her Argentine tango (minus the wardrobe malfunction) and six for the group dance.

But winner-in-waiting Harry Judd gave the performance of the night, scoring a massive 39 for his Quickstep and proving his stamina with a Swing-a-thon win.

The McFly man might have stolen the show but it was footballer Robbie Savage that stole the headlines.

The see-through shirt, gyrating hips and blonde mane were all present and correct as expected but for the Samba, Robbie took things one step further by stripping off... to reveal his football shorts.

Robbie Savage StrictlyBBC

He said he "felt like Robbie Williams". Len said it "was a shamba", adding, "You got possessed and it turned into Match of the Day."

Shamba it may well have been but Robbie's crowd-pleasing routines are obviously keeping him firmly in contention.

X Factor: Janet bids farewell as Kelly 'cops out'

The writing was on the wall when Janet Devlin fluffed her lines on Saturday night's show and after a series of mediocre performances, the Irish teen's talent show time was up.

Facing the formidable Misha B in the sing-off, the 17-year-old gave her best performance since the audition that wowed the crowds.

Singing Snow Patrol's Chasing Cars, it was almost as if the pressure was off and Janet reminded us why we all fell a little bit in love with her back in August.

But up against Misha's powerful vocals on Irene Cara's Out Here On My Own, Janet had little hope of winning favour with the judges.

Both Louis and Tulisa voted to send Devlin home while Kelly put on her very best crocodile tears to tell everyone how much she "loves these girls".
"COP OUT", yelled the crowd.

But it didn't matter much because Gary would undoubtedly have sealed her fate.

Janet took her elimination in good heart and, though "confused", said she "couldn't wait to leave the show and get my music out there"... oh, and she's looking forward to the X Factor tour, obviously.

Prompted by Dermot, mentor Kelly declared the Irish lass' original audition as a "life-stopping" moment.

Sadly, in Janet's case it turned out to be a one-off.

Did the right act leave on Sunday?

Just because you're crowned the winner of X Factor doesn't mean you'll go on to have a huge career (Hello Joe McElderry. Hello Leon Jackson). Yep, sometimes it helps to be a loser...

Pat and Lorraine get jungle boot

Pat Sharp and Lorraine Chase have become the latest two contestants to be voted out of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! in a dramatic double eviction last night.

First to go was former radio DJ and TV presenter Pat, who had lost a double Bushtucker Trial against Fatima Whitbread.
The former Olympic javelin champion called on all her mental and physical reserves to defeat Pat in the "Fill Your Face: Extreme" challenge, which involved dunking with their mouths for stars in boxes of meal worms and cockroaches.

And even though the challenge had to be halted briefly when a 'roach crawled up Fatima's nose and had to be flushed out by a medic with a syringe, she still managed to triumph.

Once he'd left the camp and been told that he had seemed to wind some of the other contestants up, Pat became defiant.

He said: "If I don't like something, I'll tell people. If they don't like it, bad luck. It's called honesty. Get a life. Lighten up.

"The one thing people said to me to do on that show was 'be yourself'. I was myself. If people don't like it, lump it. Sod off."

The drama didn't end then however, because the remaining campmates were then informed that another of them would be leaving the same evening - and it was narrowed down to Lorraine Chase or Emily Scott.

When hosts Ant and Dec revealed that Lorraine Chase would be going she grabbed Tedward and said a swift goodbye to her chums.

When asked if she was crying, she insisted that she was weeping "tears of joy" and said that she wanted her pal Crissy Rock to win.

Sinitta was the last celeb to get the boot, on Friday night.

What do you reckon? Who will be king or queen of the jungle this year? Comment below...

TOWIE's Arg in race remark storm

The Only Way Is Essex's James 'Arg' Argent is at the centre of a race row after he asked an Indian radio performer if his skin colour was down to using fake tan.

The blunder prone Arg was appearing on the Late Show with Joanne Good on BBC London, when he told performer Al Pillay 'he had the whole spray tan thing going on'.
Al - a self proclaimed 'transsexual disco diva' who starred in the 1987 Comic Strip Presents film Eat The Rich - was left feeling awkward after the TOWIE star asked: "Have you ever been to Essex before? I think you'd fit right in.

"You've got this whole spray tan thing going on. You're browner than me."

To which Al replied: "No, I was born brown. It's natural."

However, not aware of his blunder, Arg didn't stop there, continuing: "The girls would love you with that tan."

Al later took to Twitter to ask listeners' opinions as to whether they thought the remark was racist or not.

"Was it a subtle racist remark when Arg commented on my spray tan or was he just being thick not realising I was born with brown skin?!"

But all seems to have been forgiven after Arg sent Al a bunch of flowers to apologise after realising his mistake, with Al later saying on Twitter he 'wasn't aware of any racist remark'.

Frankie - The Saturdays: How Showbiz Are You?

Fascination

We put the cropped-haired one through her showbiz paces to see if she's got the hang of this celeb lark yet.
1. Who's the most famous name in your mobile?
Tulisa. She's a good friend of mine.
4/5. Oooh, get her, etc etc.

2. Most bizarre thing you've ever read about yourself?
That I had pneumonia! Ridiculous. They totally made it up and claimed it was a fact.
2/5.

3. How much is too much for a haircut?
I'm really lucky that our stylist Nick is always around so I don't have to pay for haircuts. It's a perk of the job.
5/5. Showbiz.

4. Katie Price. Friend or foe?
I've never met her, so I wouldn't like to judge!
0/5. Zzzzzz.

5. Weirdest thing you've been sent by a fan?
A ring with a proposal!
2/5. But did she keep the ring?

6. Best party ever?
I love a barbecue.
0/5. Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?!

7. Ever used your fame to get what you want?
We get sent freebies, but it would be too cringey to ask for them!
0/5.

8. How much cash would it take to get you to pose in the buff?
I'm not putting a price on it, but I never say never to anything in life, because one day it might come back and bite me in the butt!
3/5 *makes mental note*

9. Best freebie you ever received?
A free holiday to Jamaica.
5/5. Sweet.

10. Ever been chatted up by another celeb?
That would be too telling!
0/5. The point, surely?

Score: 21/50
OK, we know Frankie and the rest of The Sats like to 'keep it real' and all that but seriously, a barbeque?! An unwillingness to do anything other than sit on the fence when it comes to the Pricey or spill the beans on which famous types have made their move on her have resulted in a very low score for Frankie. Thank showbiz for that personal hair cropper and the free holiday to Jamaica, eh?

Will Young to join The Voice?

Speculation about just who will be on the judging panel for the BBC's upcoming version of The Voice has been rife since it was announced the show would be coming to these shores. And as the auditions draw ever closer, bosses have been desperate to secure some big names before it all kicks off.

With only Jessie J confirmed as a judge so far, it has now been reported she will be joined by Will Young on the panel.

Will - who won the first series of Pop Idol in 2002 - is said to be close to signing on the dotted line, with Black Eyed Peas front man Will.i.am and Welsh crooner Tom Jones completing the line-up.
And Will is probably hoping to be a different type of talent show judge to his former boss Simon Cowell, having previously blasted The X Factor as 'too sensational' and 'a soap opera'.

It has been reported that producers had hoped to secure Kylie Minogue for a role on The Voice, but were forced to pull out of negotiations when she apparently demanded a £2.5million fee.

Holly Willoughby and Radio 1 DJ Reggie Yates have been confirmed as the hosts of the new series.

Are you looking forward to The Voice? And do you think the panel have what it takes to rival The X Factor? Leave a comment below.

'Exhausted' Rihanna's emergency call to Beyoncé

It looks like the pressures of a ten month, 101 date world tour is taking its toll on Rihanna. The singer turned to her mentor, Beyonce after suffering a meltdown just hours before a show in Dublin at the weekend.

According to The Sun, a tearful Ri-Ri put in a call to Beyonce who managed to talk the singer round and the show went ahead as planned.

A source said: "She's just a young woman who just wants to have fun, but she was feeling pretty low.
"It's a mix of exhaustion and stress. She's been partying hard to take her mind off things, but there are days when she wakes up and doesn't even know where she is because of the travelling.

"It's no wonder she is feeling down."

Rihanna was forced to cancel two shows in Sweden earlier this month because of exhaustion. There were also reports that doctors had told her to stop partying between shows.

The singer - who is currently at the top of the UK singles and album charts - took to Twitter after the Dublin gig to say she felt 'light headed'.

Let's hope she manages to put her feet up for a well-earned rest when the tour comes to an end in London next month.

Dannii and Samantha Womack in frame for BGT job (VOTE)

Dannii Minogue doesn't seem to have been missing being a judge on The X Factor this year, but it seems she may be about to make a return to the TV talent show world in 2012.

The 40-year-old is reported to be close to signing a deal to sit on the judging panel for Britain's Got Talent next year - but so is former EastEnders actress Samantha Womack.
And since David Walliams is known to have signed up and Amanda Holden has confirmed that she will be returning - that leaves just one seat.

The Sunday Mirror claims that Dannii has told producers she needs her schedule to be "set in stone" to avoid a repeat of the way she left The X Factor due to her pregnancy.

The paper quoted a source as saying: "Dannii has said yes and they're happy that she will do it, but she needs confirmed shooting schedules and dates for the entire series before she packs her bags and lets other opportunities go.

"She doesn't want what happened last time to happen again. Being a mum she has to plan ahead. It's as simple as that - Ethan is the priority."

Meanwhile The Sun reckons Samantha Womack (formerly Janus) is in the frame for the job and quotes its own source to that effect.

The paper's mole said: "She's hugely popular as 10 million people watched her every week on EastEnders - and she's got a fair old mouth on her.

"She's not afraid to call a spade a spade, but she also has a down-to-earth approach that producers think will encourage acts. We don't just want the judges to slag people off."

Well, we like Dannii Minogue and we like Samantha Womack, but which is best - there's only one way to find out... POLL!

Who would you rather see on BGT?

Well, we like Dannii Minogue and we like Samantha Womack, but which is best - there's only one way to find out... POLL!

We know Miley Cyrus is keen to shed her good girl Disney image, but when she admitted she smoked 'way too much weed', eyebrows were raised about the star's behaviour.

The singer was seen in a video captured at her 19th birthday party telling friends that she enjoyed smoking the drug, after making a comment about a Bob Marley-themed birthday cake.

However, Miley has since been doing some frantic damage control, insisting that her comment was a joke.
She is heard to say in the video: "You know you're a stoner when friends make you a Bob Marley cake - you know you smoke way too much f***in' weed."

However a spokesperson for the star has now defended the backlash against her:

"It's all been taken out of context. The cake was a joke and Miley's response was intended to be sarcastic," they said.

It is said the reference to Bob Marley was made after it became Miley's nickname when she was caught smoking a bong in another video last year.

Miley's pal Kelly Osbourne has also waded in on the controversy to back up Miley, tweeting: "It makes me sick that @MileyCyrus so called 'friends' would sell her out and lead people 2 believe she is someone that she is not! (sic)"
